On Wednesday, June 19, Your Elder Care Specialist spent the evening taking a "Cruise Around the World" to support to the Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center!
This wasn't just any cruise. This signature fundraiser provides a "Cruise" experience on land, by hosting 15 senior care facilities, and challenging them to a cook-off! The communities face-off by providing culinary tastes from around the world. Celebrity judges and the audience, vote for their favorites! We had several favorites this year: a cilantro lime chicken and rice, a mushroom risotto and pulled pork in wanton shells. There were other ceviche dishes, pork bao's, shrimp cocktails, teriyaki pork bites over rice and so much more! Along with eating our hearts out, they provided an amazing table of raffle prizes, and silent auction selections, music and live auction. We had a blast!
